The Camden County Joint Development Authority is pleased to announce the sale of the 51,200 square foot spec building in the Camden County Industrial Park. The spec building was built in 1997 and sold on Tuesday, November 3, 2005 to Reads Moving Systems. Reads is an Atlas Van Lines affiliated moving and storage company that has been in operation since 1937. The company currently operates facilities in five southeastern states and serves customers nationwide. The new facility will represent a substantial expansion of Reads 10,000 sq. ft. current facility with 15 employees located at 1495 S. 50th Street in Kingsland. Reads expects that, after finishing the building and with the start of operations at the new building, it will have over 55 employees working at the facility, with an estimated annual payroll of over $1,100,000, plus fringe benefits. |
