The Camden Center is a local residence center of Coastal Georgia Community College whose headquarters is located in Brunswick. Both transfer and technical programs of study are available at the Center. The Center has been open in Kingsland since 1993. Day, evening and weekend classes are available for students in the Camden County area. Classes are held in the former Kingsland Elementary School which is also the headquarters of the Camden County Board of Education.

Construction is complete for the permanent Camden Center facility (see photo below) which is a $17.5 million State-funded project on 75 acres donated by Celso and Sondra Gonzalez-Falla as part of the overall development plan for the Lakes subdivision in Kingsland. This two-story facility with 90,000 square feet of assignable space is located adjacent to Camden County High School in Kingsland and is open for tours and classes.

The programs at the new center facility have been designed to fit the specific occupational needs of the county as well as to provide the full pre-bachalaureate degree for transfer, according to President Dorothy L. Lord.

Students are able to choose from technical programs as well as pre-baccalaureate programs leading to bachelor's degrees which are offered through collaboration with Armstrong Atlantic State University and Georgia Southern University. Dr. Lord said "It is the best of all worlds for a student."
